(Aired June 19-23, 1967) During the week of June 19-23, 1967, Guy appeared as a celebrity player on the game show, Password, hosted by Allen Ludden. The other celebrity player was Irene Ryan, (Granny from the hit 60s television show The Beverly Hillbillies).
The week long series of games was billed as Family Week. Guy and Irene were paired with family teams (consisting of parents with their children), in a tournament where each member of the families played one round with Guy and another with Irene.
Irene Ryan was a veteran celebrity player on the show, having made several previous appearances. But Guy, in his first attempt at the game, proved to be a formidable opponent and viewers could see the two stars were clearly enjoying the game and working together.
The show was a reunion, of kind, for Guy & Irene. The two had worked together once before very early in Guy's career when they appeared in the 1953 movie Bonzo Goes to College.
